Electronic Roulette
Experimenting with new forms and trends, Pragmatic Play produced this Electronic Roulette that acquired an unusual design, still remaining a classic European roulette at its core. At the center of the screen stands a flying saucer shaped wheel covered with a glass cap. It is surrounded by 4 suspended flat screens, three of which are for decoration purpose and only one, facing the player, is active. The active screen depicts what is known as a table grid with numbers, bet areas and other roulette stuff. Though having a strange high-tech visual style, this is actually a normal European roulette with a single zero pocket to play.
Min/max real money bets are NZ$1 and NZ$100 which are convenient for low rollers but somewhat deficient for heavy punters. In some casinos, a player may place bitcoin bets. Also keep in mind that the mentioned maximum applies to so called even-money bets having a 1:1 payout, while Straight Up has a much lower limit. The online table layout itself is depicted on a blue background felt and resembles the French roulette table in its visual design. The computer screen also has three built-in buttons Clear, Rebet and Spin. Besides, it shows the last 15 numbers with color differentiation for easy reading.
Interestingly, there are no clickable multicolored online casino chips because betting is performed by clicking needed buttons to the right of the screen that show a bet size (six bet buttons from 1 to 100). This unstandard solution can pin down a newcomer at first but it will not take much time to get accustomed to this. A player may place bets on specific numbers and their combinations. The areas outside the grid show even-money bets (two red and black diamonds, Even, Odd, 1 to 18 and 19 to 36 sectors), three Dozens bets and three Columns bets. No problems or misunderstanding will occur in this regard because the table itself is of a standard European style and shape (though a bit minimalistic).
To sum up, Electronic Roulette is kind of bold experiment that does not modify the roulette basics but adds a new technical, digital, electronic visual note to the overall game design. Players from New Zealand who want to experience a new take on the classic are advised to join in.
